Titanium Dental Disc/Block
Titanium is widely used in denture manufacture due to its excellent biocompatibility, low low weight ratio and good corrosion resistance. It has a low thermal conductivity, which can be well isolated from cold and hot stimulation. The denture made of titanium will not feel sore when eating too cold or overheated food, well protect the endodontic. Besides, titanium has good stability and will not cause taste interference. Titanium denture is made of titanium block or disc through a series of processing: machine tool processing, superplastic forming, precision casting, porcelain, bonding, welding, polishing, surface treatment, etc. Titanium teeth have advantages that other medical metal materials do not compare: patients with nickel-chromium or cobalt-chromium teeth will have to have their dentures removed during head MRI, while titanium teeth will most likely not, because titanium is a non-paramagnetic metal, which will produce minimal ghosting during MRI. In addition, the X-ray can detect the presence of cavities inside the titanium crown because titanium can be semi-transmitted by X-ray.
Energy Titanium is one of the leading suppliers of titanium dental disc, block and the semi-products of the denture, all of these are made of Grade 5 (Ti-6AL-4V ELI) and Grade 23 alloys in compliance with ASTM F67/ F136 and ISO5832-2/5832-3. The specification is shown as below:
